Also in these papers is a journal in a pink wrapper entitled "Filigranes" on the cover, and inside "Signification symbolique de Filigranes," téré de Baconiana 1900 n°. 1. 2 3 et 4. [The date "1900" must be an error, since he discusses an article in Baconiana, 1903, nos. 1 & 2, by Harold Bayley, entitled Hidden Symbols of the rosicrucians(?) "dan lequel l'auteur attribue à certaines filigranes une signification symbolique." In no. 4 (1903) is an article by William Kirsch, "The raison d'etre of mediavel papermarks."

Also included are:

tracings of the marks reproduced in the Bayley article, primarily drawn from Greenham's Works, London 1605.

notes on "Contrefaçon de filigranes" in Berne and Bâle

Another journal in a gray wrapper, is entitled "Legislation Impôts Routes"; a journal in a blue wrapper, "Noms, Formats, Sortes de Papiers." Included in the latter are Briquet's notes on "Formats des Papiers à Bologne et leurs noms" that appears in the forward to Les Filigranes. There are also notes on names and prices of papers in Caen, Epinal, Venise, Tours, etc.
